Lost in Thought

This painting was inspired by teens and of their thought process. With peer influence – ridicule, frustrations and trying to adjust their decisions on those that influence…

Warning. … sigh.

Warning…. please mute before playing this….. I warned you….. I am new at videotaping and then editing – and I am NOT an advocate of recreating the wheel – what’s done is done…. Hopefully, you will enjoy just seeing my transitions – the sound is dreadful! Nevertheless, I wanted to share some of my recorded paintings on my blog… will I continue doing this.?.. I’m not sure at this point, but future tubing my paintings will be considered as my blogging continues…

Thoughts… the process.. the painting

Whenever I read of paintings – I really want the artist to give me the dirt. the heart. the soul. and the trenches that the painting came from – or maybe where it was going to – the process – I want to know it all!!!… I know, I know – artists are supposed to let the viewer depict what he or she wants to think or feel. I know this – but, I’m the type that will look up lyrics and why the artists wrote that song, where he was when he wrote it, what relationships he was writing about etc etc….. That’s how I do it – maybe that’s an artist rendering other artists thoughts….. but, don’t we all desire to know? So, for now, I will do just that for my readers. .. or try to.

Well, ‘Thoughts’ doesn’t have drama attached to it.. That painting was inspired by teens and of their thought process. With peer influence – ridicule, frustrations and trying to adjust their decisions on those that influence. Impatience is such a stereotypical reaction – and, often, the outcome is never what the thinker desires for their decision.. In this painting I wanted to portray how beautiful the thinking process is…….. Actual thought on a matter…. Enlightenment… Pondering… and Patience.. The depth of a teen interests me, reminds me of myself and the struggles that I had to overcome in youth… The imagination.. the dreams we had and still hold in our hearts. Blissful Thought.

Time & Medium

This painting took approximately 10 hours to paint – that I can recall…. Acrylic & painted with a 3/4 inch square brush.
